These packages focus on teaching you and your dog skills to help you be happier together. The Foundations for Fun packages should get you and your dog off to the right start learning new behaviors and learning how to use those behaviors in different situations!
The Howling for Help Packages are for teams who are struggling with what is often referred to as “reactivity” and usually looks like lunging, barking, air snapping, etc. when on leash.
In person packages are available to those who live within the city limits of Cape Girardeau or Jackson, MO. If you are located elsewhere, occasionally I meet with people at a facility in Cape Girardeau, and virtual training is a great option!
Comfort! Not all dogs or people enjoy the classroom environment. If either you or your dog are shy or react in an overly excited way to other dogs or people you and your dog will appreciate learning in the comfort of your own home.
Convenient! Who needs one more thing to leave the house for? Let me come to you!
Effective! You won’t ever have to wait for my attention and all the focus will be on you and your dog. This individualized attention will enable me to spend the whole time we have together helping you and your dog build skills you need to succeed!
Efficient! We will be working in your everyday environment which will enable me to see how you might set things up to better help you and your dog succeed. You and your dog will be learning the skills where you will be using them the most.
Works for just about anyone! Maybe you have a large family and don’t want to bring everyone to class, but it’s too difficult to get away with the dog. This option is perfect then. I can come to you, or we can even meet remotely, and we can get the entire family on the same training page!
Includes: Five sessions in your home or remotely (must be completed within seven weeks or less), training handouts, email support and membership in a private Foundations for Fun Facebook group for $550.
We will meet in your home (or via Zoom) five times to work on equipping you with the skills needed to teach your multiple behaviors in the environment where you will use them the most.
During our time together, we will work on multiple foundation behaviors in your home. You will learn how to start teaching the behaviors and we will discuss how to begin getting these behaviors in other environments.
Foundations for Fun at Home is not the same as the customized services or the more specialized Howling for Help packages. While Foundations for Fun is somewhat customizable, it follows a curriculum and is meant to build foundational skills. We will not be creating training plans for specific behavior issues.
Are you embarrassed about your dog’s behavior on walks? Does the way your dog behaves on walks scare you sometimes? Does your dog lunge, bark, pant, growl, or otherwise seem overly excited by other dogs and people on your walks? Have you been told that your dog is “leash reactive”, “reactive” or maybe even “aggressive” when on leash? Are you worried that there is something wrong with your dog and that there is more you should be doing to “fix” this “bad” behavior?
If any of this sounds familiar, help is on the way! Relief and behavior change are possible for you and your dog! Howling for Help is a unique, individualized, training program tailored made for each team..
Here’s how it works!
In Howling for Help Part One: How to Successfully Navigate the World With a Dog Who Has Big Feelings, you will learn all about how to set you and your dog up for success as you go about your daily lives. We will discuss how to make changes in the environment to set you and your dog up for success and how to train skills that can help you avoid sticky situations, or get out of them quickly when needed. Skills may include emergency u-turns, “find it”, follow a treat magnet, paws up, and others (skills will be individualized based on each team’s needs).
For those who want to dive a little deeper and begin getting to the root of the problem, Howling for Help Part Two: How to Change Your Dog’s Big Feelings is for you. In part two, we will systematically build on the techniques and skills you learned in part one to help your dog learn to manage their feelings and behavior in the moment.

Howling for Help Part One:
How to Successfully Navigate the World When Your Dog Has Big Feelings
Price – $700
This package includes an initial consultation which usually lasts about an hour and a half. We will thoroughly explore your situation and begin crafting a custom plan. This initial session is best done remotely so we can give our full attention to developing your personalized plan. You can sign up for the initial consultation before deciding to do the whole package if you like. If you do that, you will be charged the full $150 fee for the initial consultation. If at the end of the consultation you decide you want to sign up for the full package, the $150 will be subtracted from the price of the package.
Following the initial consultation, you will receive three, one hour training sessions which can be done in person (in the city limits of Cape Girardeau or Jackson only) or remotely. Also included in the package are three, online (also approximately one hour) meetings during which time a special topic will be discussed for around 20 or 30 minutes and the rest of the time will be reserved for Q&A. These online meetings are open to all who are signed up for a package so they may sometimes be group events giving you the benefit of learning from others’ questions, as well as the support of others dealing with similar struggles. Recording your sessions between our meetings is a great way for you to monitor your own progress, and also a great way for you to get feedback from me. While in the program, and for six weeks after program completion, you may send me up to fifteen minutes of video each week for review. There is a private FB group specifically for students who are enrolled in, or who have completed, the Howling for Help program.
