CUSTOMIZED SERVICES

Sometimes we experience challenges with our dogs that require help beyond what we can receive in a group class.

CUSTOMIZED SERVICES help you and your dog deal with challenges like:

For this service, click  “Sign Up for a Free Call” above, schedule a time for your call on the calendar, and complete the registration form. Make sure to complete the entire registration form, including checking the box that acknowledges you have read, and agree to the terms and conditions.  Please be as thorough as possible when answering the questions.

At the time of our call, I will ask you a few questions, and explain the process of the Customized Services, and let you ask any questions you might have about services at that time.  If your situation happens to fall outside of the types of cases I work with, I will do my best to offer you a referral to another professional.

During this first call, we will decide whether we will meet in person or remotely for our first meeting. If your dog is experiencing fear of people, and/or behaving aggressively toward people, your initial consultation will likely happen remotely.  This will ensure safety for all, and it will also help to keep your dog as comfortable as possible while we go through the thorough assessment process together and begin to build our behavior change plan. Viewing your home environment through your phone or webcam, allows me to see your dog in his or her everyday environment and see what’s working well, and where there might be opportunities for improvement.  Meeting remotely for the first session can be helpful in most cases, but it is especially important in these types of cases.

Documentation from a veterinarian that your dog(s) is up to date on vaccinations is required before my arrival.

Note, I primarily focus on working with people and dogs who are experiencing the challenges listed at the top of the page.  Other challenges will be considered on a case by case basis.  If I cannot take your case, I will work to offer you an appropriate referral.

These services are offered in the Cape Girardeau, Scott and Bollinger County area.

I get a lot of inquiries from parents who are having challenges with their dogs, and their children.  If you are struggling with these types of challenges, or if you want to improve the relationship between your children and dogs in any way, or if you are thinking of adding a dog and you have children or adding a child and you have dogs, I strongly encourage you to reach out to someone who specializes in this area.  There are lots of great trainers out there specializing in this, and the ones I typically refer people to are Pooch Parenting. https://poochparenting.net or Family Paws. https://www.familypaws.com/
